Renewals open October 15, 2026 | Deadline: December 31, 2026
Renewal Process
When do I need to renew my LTP?
Renewals open October 15, 2026. Please complete your renewal by December 31, 2026, to avoid any interruption to your current teaching permissions.
How do I renew my LTP?
You can complete your renewal in four steps:
- Sign in to your Scrum Alliance dashboard.
- Select the LTP tier that best fits how you teach and operate your business.
- Review and accept your LTP and trainer agreements.
- Complete checkout and payment, or set up your Klarna payment plan.
Your renewal takes effect once your payment or payment plan has been successfully processed.
Where can I review my trainer and LTP agreements?
You can review and accept your agreements through your Scrum Alliance dashboard.
For 2027, we've simplified the paperwork with a one-page agreement linking to the applicable trainer and LTP terms online. The terms are materially similar to last year's agreements.
I've signed my agreements, but my renewal isn't showing in my account. What should I do?
Signing your agreements is only part of renewal. You'll also need to complete checkout and payment (or successfully establish your Klarna payment plan).
If you've completed both steps and your account still doesn't reflect your renewed status, please contact success@scrumalliance.org so we can help.
Renewal Fees & Payment
What are the 2027 LTP renewal fees?
We've reduced annual fees across all three tiers for 2027:
- Professional: $1,000/year
- Business: $3,000/year
- Enterprise: $5,000/year
All prices are in USD. Student activation fees and any applicable additional course or licensing charges remain separate.
Do I need to pay a separate fee to renew my CST or CSAT certification?
No. Your CST or CSAT renewal is included in your applicable LTP fee, along with renewal of your other Scrum Alliance certifications. There is no separate trainer certification renewal charge for active CSTs and CSATs maintaining an LTP at Professional or higher.
Existing trainer professional-development requirements still apply.
Is there an early bird discount for 2027 renewals?
Rather than offering a limited-time early bird discount, we've reduced the annual fees across all three tiers for 2027. These lower fees are available throughout the renewal period.
Can I pay my renewal fee in installments?
Yes! You can pay in full or select a payment plan through Klarna during checkout.
Can my organization cover or split the renewal costs for multiple trainers?
Absolutely. How you share the costs is up to you and your organization.
For example, your organization may reimburse trainers for their individual Professional LTP renewals, or trainers may contribute toward the organization's Enterprise fee.
Each required renewal must still be completed and paid through the appropriate Scrum Alliance account. Scrum Alliance does not split or redistribute payments between accounts.
Choosing Your LTP Tier
I'm an independent trainer. Which LTP tier do I need?
Professional is the minimum LTP required to maintain your active CST or CSAT status.
- Professional ($1,000): For trainers delivering private courses or teaching through another eligible LTP.
- Business ($3,000): For single-trainer businesses offering public and private courses.
- Enterprise ($5,000): For multi-trainer organizations or single-trainer organizations seeking expanded partnership benefits.
The right tier depends on how you teach and operate your business.
What's the difference between a public and private course?
A private course is arranged for a specific client or group and isn't publicly advertised for general registration.
A public course is promoted or available for general registration, including courses advertised on your website or social media, even if they aren't listed in Scrum Alliance Course Search.
Can I advertise public courses with a Professional LTP?
Not under your own Professional LTP. Professional supports private course delivery.
You can, however, teach public courses offered through another eligible Enterprise LTP, provided the appropriate trainer associations and permissions are in place.
To advertise or offer public courses through your own organization, you'll need Business or Enterprise.
I operate a training organization. Which tier should I choose?
Your tier depends on the number of trainers associated with your organization and how you deliver courses.
- Professional: One trainer delivering private courses.
- Business: One trainer delivering public and private courses.
- Enterprise: Required for organizations with two or more designated trainers, whether delivering public or private courses.
Single-trainer organizations may also choose Enterprise for its expanded partnership benefits.
Can I change my LTP tier during the year?
Yes! You can upgrade during your current contract term as your business needs evolve. Please contact Partner & Customer Success to confirm the applicable fees and effective date before changing your course offerings or adding a trainer.
Downgrades are available at your next renewal.
Multi-Trainer Organizations
Our organization has multiple trainers. Does the $5,000 Enterprise fee cover everyone?
The $5,000 Enterprise fee includes one designated primary trainer's CST/CSAT renewal and other Scrum Alliance certifications.
Each additional active CST or CSAT must maintain their own LTP at Professional or higher, starting at $1,000 annually.
For example, an organization with three trainers renewing at the minimum required levels would pay:
- Enterprise LTP (including one primary trainer): $5,000
- Additional trainer 1 (Professional): $1,000
- Additional trainer 2 (Professional): $1,000
Total annual renewal fees: $7,000.
Your organization and trainers may determine how to share those costs directly.
I teach through another LTP. Do I still need my own LTP?
Yes. Each active CST or CSAT must maintain their own LTP at Professional or higher, unless they are the designated primary trainer whose renewal is included in the organization's Business or Enterprise LTP.
A Professional LTP allows you to deliver private courses independently and teach public courses through another eligible Business or Enterprise LTP, subject to the appropriate permissions.
What if I'm associated with more than one LTP or my organization's primary contact isn't a trainer?
We recognize that partnership arrangements vary. If you already hold another LTP, your primary contact isn't a trainer, or your setup differs from the examples above, please reach out to success@scrumalliance.org before completing payment.
We'll help you confirm the appropriate accounts and renewal steps for your situation.
LTP Benefits & Opportunities
What additional benefits are included with Business and Enterprise?
Each tier offers benefits designed to support different ways our partners teach and grow.
Business includes public course listings, a training partner directory listing and LTP badge, Enterprise Leads Program eligibility, partner enablement, early access opportunities, LMS integration, and eligible on-demand opportunities with applicable licensing.
Enterprise builds on Business with expanded marketing support and strategic business reviews.
You can find the full comparison in the 2027 Licensed Training Partner Program Guide.
Which LTP tiers are eligible for the Enterprise Leads Program?
Business and Enterprise partners are eligible to participate in the Enterprise Leads Program.
Scrum Alliance works with organizations seeking training solutions and identifies potential partner matches based on client needs and partner capabilities.
Eligibility provides the opportunity to be considered for relevant leads but does not guarantee a specific number of referrals or engagements.
Can I resell or host Scrum Alliance on-demand courses?
Business and Enterprise LTPs can resell or host eligible on-demand courses, subject to applicable licensing arrangements.
Professional LTPs can participate through the affiliate program.
What is a Quarterly Business Review (QBR), and who is eligible?
Strategic business reviews are an Enterprise LTP benefit. These conversations provide an opportunity to review partnership performance, discuss business priorities, explore opportunities, and align on areas of focus.
The cadence and format are based on the needs and activity of the partnership.
All partners are welcome to reach out to Partner & Customer Success for support and partnership discussions throughout the year.
Trainer Certification & Professional Development
Does renewing my LTP automatically renew my CST or CSAT certification?
Your applicable LTP renewal includes your CST or CSAT certification renewal and other Scrum Alliance certifications, with no separate trainer renewal fee.
Existing trainer professional-development requirements, course approvals, and good-standing requirements continue to apply.
Do I still need to complete professional-development requirements for 2026–2027?
Yes. Your current professional-development cycle runs from January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2027.
You'll still need to complete at least eight hours of qualifying professional development or engagement during the two-year cycle.
We recognize that changes to the Global Scrum Gathering schedule may affect how some trainers planned to meet these requirements, so we're providing additional flexibility for the remainder of this cycle.
Eligible activities may include virtual opportunities and qualifying professional development that you deliver or receive. Attendance at an in-person gathering is not required.
We'll share updated requirements for the next renewal cycle before it begins.
Where can I find the full trainer renewal requirements?
Please refer to the current Trainer Renewal Guidelines (2026–2027) for details on professional-development and other applicable requirements.
If you have questions about your individual circumstances, our Partner & Customer Success team is happy to help.
