There are three ways you can add your digital badge to your LinkedIn profile:
Option 1: Check for the email you received from BadgeCert (from badging@scrumalliance.org) when your Scrum Alliance account was created. There will be an option in the email that allows you to add the badge to LinkedIn directly.
Option 2: You can add your digital badge to LinkedIn through the BadgeCert website:
- Log into your BadgeCert account
- Select the badge you’d like to share
- Select Share
- Select Add to Profile
Once there, follow these steps to complete the process:
- Select Get Started from the left side
- You'll be prompted to log in to LinkedIn if you aren't already
- You'll be asked to authorize BadgeCert to add the badge to your profile
- Copy and paste the details from the help page to your LinkedIn profile
- Select Save and your badge will be added to the LinkedIn Certifications section
On your LinkedIn profile you'll see the logo for the issuing organization and a link to your badge. Please ensure to disable any pop-up blockers before sharing your badges on LinkedIn.
Option 3: Use this method if you have a URL link only and are not using the BadgeCert web portfolio or the Add to LinkedIn button found in the issuance email.
To add a Badge to your LinkedIn profile page:
- Log into LinkedIn and select the Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.
- Select View Profile.
- If you've previously added a certificate, scroll down to the Licenses and Certifications section and select the add button (+).
- If you've never added a certification, you'll need to add a Licenses and Certifications section. On your profile page, select the Add profile section button, select the "arrow" icon next to Accomplishments. Next to Certifications, select the "add" icon.
- Type in your certification information. You can obtain all of the information that you need to input if you select Add to LinkedIn from either your BadgeCert account or from the issuance email you received when you earned the digital badge.
- A menu displaying companies will appear as you type in the Certification authority field. Be sure to select Scrum Alliance. Note: The logo for Scrum Alliance will appear on your profile, not the badge image.
- Provide the name of your credential in the Certification name field and add the URL link for your BadgeCert digital badge in the Certification URL. Select Save.
