You aren't required to have any prior scrum, agile, or software development experience if you're interested in joining one of our foundational course: Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) or Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®).
Anyone new to an agile way of work will find value from the concepts covered in the CSM or CSPO course. Scrum is applicable across industries and cross-functional teams, so all professionals looking for a better way to solve complex problems are encouraged to attend. A college or university degree also isn't required.
We do encourage students to familiarize themselves with the scrum framework before attending their course. You can find some free resources below:

You can also purchase foundational, on-demand microcredential courses such as Scrum Essentials and Agile Essentials.
Please note that some courses such as the Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM®) or Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner (A-CSPO®) do require prerequisites. You may review all the certifications and their requirements by visiting this page: Explore Agile Certifications.
