Requirements to become a trainer
Scrum Alliance® certification courses like the CSM® are taught by those who have achieved the Certified Scrum Trainer® (CST®) or Certified Scrum Alliance Trainer™ (CSAT™) designation. To achieve the CST or CSAT, the applicant must have passed a formal application process in which they were assessed on their domain knowledge, experience, ability to train, etc. Stringent certification requirements are imposed on prospective trainers to make certain that only those who are fully qualified to meet this commitment are entrusted to provide services as designated by the CST and CSAT credentials.
These trainers are integral agile ambassadors who advance education and inspire change everyday through engaging courses. While they're all required to teach specific learning objectives for each credential, every trainer provides their own unique experiences and viewpoints to the classroom, making each course experience different.
Finding a trainer that's right for you
Scrum Alliance isn't able to recommend specific trainers, but we encourage you to find one that meets your needs by visiting our Training Partner Search page. From here, you'll be able to:
- View trainers' profiles to see their biography, courses offered, upcoming class schedule, career history, industries, areas of expertise, and more
- Find trainers by country or those who deliver training in a specific language
You can also visit the Course Search page to find upcoming public courses by certified trainers. You can review these listings to find information such as:
- Details about the course, including the price, agenda, who should attend, any special offers or discounts, and more
- Reviews for the trainer left by past students (validated by Trustpilot)
