How do I renew my certification?

You can renew your certification for an additional two years by either:

• Taking any new Scrum Alliance certification course OR
• Submitting your required number of continuing education units (known as SEUs) along with a renewal fee. This process to renew is outlined below.

You'll be able to calculate your required number of continuing education units and renewal payment total through the Renew Now button on your Scrum Alliance dashboard (if eligible for renewal).

Please note you'll first need to submit continuing education units before being able to pay the renewal fee. To submit continuing education units to count toward your renewal, please do the following:

1. Log in to your Dashboard

2. Select Renewal from the navigation bar on the left

3. Scroll down to the section titled My SEU Log and select Add or Edit SEUs

4. From the Select an Activity Type dropdown, choose an activity type In the Activity Description section, describe the activity

5. In the Activity Date section, select the date the activity was completed using the calendar widget

6. Enter the hours and minutes spent on the activity in whole numbers

7. Select Submit

There is no limit to how many continuing education units you can submit for a specific category. For more information, please visit our SEUs information page.

Please note that your continuing education units must have a start-on/activity date within 2.5 years prior to your certification’s current expiration date. You cannot reuse a continuing education unit if it was already submitted for a prior certification renewal.

After submitting the required amount of continuing education units, you can pay the fee to renew your certification(s) by doing the following:

1. Log in to your Dashboard
2. Select the blue Renew Now button at the top of the page
3. Review the renewal overview, then select Renew Now again to continue
4. Complete all required fields on the Order Summary page
5. Select Submit Payment to finalize your renewal

Once you've paid successfully, you'll see the new expiration date for your renewed certification(s).
