Beginning July 1, 2025, Scrum Alliance® will consider it a violation of course listing requirements if a training partner cancels more than 15% of their posted public courses in any given calendar month. Violations of this policy will result in escalating suspensions from Course Search and then termination.
A course will be considered “canceled” if it meets either of the following criteria:
- It is posted publicly, but zero students are uploaded with 14 days of the course date, or
- It is deleted within 14 days prior to its scheduled start date.
Please note this doesn't apply to courses that are listed as Live Online + Self-Paced.
Initially, this policy will apply to partners who post 9 or more public courses to Course Search in a given month. We acknowledge legitimate cancellations can occur. The purpose of the 9-course threshold is to avoid penalizing training partners posting reasonable numbers of courses with a good faith intent to run them and to ensure equity in Course Search results. However, we expect all training partners to maintain a professional and reliable course run rate. This new policy is now reflected in the Course Requirements document, which can be found in the Benefits & resources section of your dashboard.
Additionally, beginning Monday, June 23, 2025, Scrum Alliance will disable the ability to edit course dates two (2) hours after a course is created. If you need to change a course date after that time, please duplicate the course and delete the original listing. This change will support better tracking and fair enforcement of the new cancellation policy.
