Yes! If you prefer to continue your scrum education by attending additional Scrum Alliance® certification courses (e.g. CSM®, CSPO®, A-CSM℠, etc.), this will automatically renew your certifications without submitting Scrum Education Units® (SEUs®) or paying the renewal fee.
For example, if your CSM certification has expired, but you take a CSPO course, your previously inactive CSM will automatically be extended to align with your recently earned CSPO certification. Both certifications will have the same expiration date.
Example: Your CSM expired in January 2020, but you earn a CSPO certification on April 4, 2025. Your CSM certification will automatically be extended from January 2020 to April 4, 2027 to align with your recently earned CSPO.
However, please note that taking Scrum Alliance microcredential courses will not result in automatic certification and membership renewal, but instead will be added as SEUs on your account.
