Those who aspire to earn a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) certification from Scrum Alliance® are required to take a 16-hour CSM course (live online or in-person) with a Certified Scrum Trainers® (CSTs®). Upon successfully completing the training, you'll have an account created for you on our website where you'll be able to access the online test.
Although we certainly respect that individuals may have prior experience with scrum or received training from a different certification body, there isn't an option at this time to skip the required course or apply direct to take the test.
Please note that all approved courses that lead to CSM certification are found on the Course Search page; your scrum master course must be taught by a Scrum Alliance CST. If you found a scrum master course through a third-party website, please ensure it is listed on the Course Search page or contact our support team to ensure its validity for taking the test and earning CSM certification.
