Individuals who would like to apply to teach certification courses (e.g. CSM®, CSPO®, etc.) from Scrum Alliance® must become a Certified Scrum Trainer® (CST®). This is an expert-level program for those who wish to help others understand the principles and values that form the foundation of scrum.
Here is a brief summary of the path toward becoming a CST:
- Completing the Path to CSP® by earning a Certified Scrum Professional® - ScrumMaster (CSP®-SM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSP®-PO) designation (depending on which certification – CSM or CSPO – that you would like to teach.)
- Satisfying all of the CST application prerequisites and reviewing the CST certification standards
- Submitting an application to become a CST, along with your course materials in the formal review process
- If your application is approved, you will move on to the formal interview where you will be interviewed and asked to conduct a training simulation
