Individuals who would like to apply to teach certification courses (e.g. CSM®, CSPO®) from Scrum Alliance® must become a Certified Scrum Trainer® (CST®). This is an expert-level program for those who wish to help others understand the principles and values that form the foundation of scrum.
Here is a brief summary of the path toward becoming a CST:
- Completing the Path to CSP® by earning a Certified Scrum Professional® - ScrumMaster (CSP®-SM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSP®-PO) designation (depending on which certification – CSM or CSPO – that you would like to teach.)
- Satisfying all of the CST application prerequisites and CST certification standards
- Submitting an application to become a CST along with your course materials in the formal review process
- If your application is approved, you'll proceed to the formal interview where you will be interviewed and asked to conduct a training simulation
For more information about the process to become a CST, please visit our CST information page that includes all of the requirements and more details about the application and interview process.
Please note that while we certainly respect individuals' past training experiences, you must first become a CST or Certified Scrum Alliance Trainer (CSAT) before being eligible to deliver certification courses.
