Public courses are visible to all users who visit Scrum Alliance Course Search. Please ensure you enter all of the information about your course correctly to provide a seamless experience for Course Search users.
Please check that information such as the course date, location, and venue information is aligned with what is entered on your organization’s website or registration portal.
Creating a public course
- Log in to your dashboard
- Navigate to the Courses tab on the left-hand side.
- In the My courses section, select the blue button that says Add course.
- In the dropdown menu that appears, select the organization that you want the course to be associated with. Select Next.
- Select the certification course you want to create
- Note: You won't be able to update the certification type later. If you selected the wrong course type, the course will need to be recreated.
- On the new page that appears, select Public.
- Once you are in the course creation screen, complete the following fields:
- Complete the rest of the fields in the section General information.
- Input the start date.
- Complete all remaining sections on this page.
- When you reach the section Trainers, you will see a list of trainers who can teach the course for this organization. Use the dropdown menu to add the correct trainer to the course. (Note: A trainer is only allowed to teach up to two courses on a given day per the current course conflict rules. If there is a conflict for a trainer with another course that conflicts with the current rules, you will be given an error message when you select the Publish button. It will not allow you to save a course until the other course is removed or adjusted to satisfy the conflict rules.
- When you have completed all sections, select Publish at the bottom of the screen. Or, you can select Discard this listing if you've changed your mind or wish to create the course at another time.
Creating a private course
Private courses are only visible to you and other trainers and administrators affiliated with the organization under which the course is created. Private courses cannot be found on the Scrum Alliance Course Search page. They will also be displayed as "Course Not Found" if you have the page link and attempt to view the listing details as they would display if they were on the Course Search page. Private courses do not require a price or contact information to be listed.

- In the dropdown menu that appears, select the organization that you want the course to be associated with. Select Next.
- Select the certification course you want to create
- Note: You won't be able to update the certification type later. If you selected the wrong course type, the course will need to be recreated.
- On the new page that appears, select Private.
- Once you are in the course creation screen, complete the following fields:
- Input the start date (Note: Creating a private course BEFORE it is held will result in the course being displayed on the trainer's profile as an upcoming course.)
- Complete the rest of the fields in the section General information.
- Complete all remaining sections on this page.
- When you reach the section Trainers, you will see a list of trainers who can teach the course for this organization. Use the dropdown menu to add the correct trainer to the course.
