Scrum Alliance offers courses that lead to two different types of qualifications: certifications and microcredentials.
Taking a Scrum Alliance certification course will not result in any Scrum Education Units® (SEUs®) as they’re intended to be submitted as continuing education activities you've completed after earning the certification. Instead, earning a new Scrum Alliance certification will automatically renew and extend all of your earned certifications and membership to demonstrate your continuing education without submitting SEUs or paying the renewal fee.
Taking a Scrum Alliance microcredential course will result in SEUs that are automatically applied to your account once your trainer registers you on the Scrum Alliance website after completing the course. However, earning new microcredentials will not renew and extend your other earned certifications or membership.
